My Pak-a-Seat handle is on it's last legs and I need a new one. It's very similar to a Fender BF/SF rubber amp handle except it is 8-1/2 inches long as opposed to the normal 9-1/4 inches long as seen on most Fender amps. I could cut down a Fender one but I'm sure I'd do a botch job so that's my last resort.

Does anyone know who might sell these 8-1/2" long rubber handles or a source for Pak-a-Seat parts?
Thanks,
Bob M.

Is it a strap handle like this? Are you measuring between mounting holes ctr to ctr or overall length? This one measures app 9 3/8 overall:

Otherwise: www.amprepairparts.com or maybe www.partsexpress.com or www.pennelcomonline.com

Hi Jerry,
Thanks for your reply. I'm measuring the overall length (not hole to hole). What you have pictured here is the same as a Fender amp handle, which I already have. For my Pak-a-Seat, I'm looking for something just like this (same material and design) but shorter - 8 and 1/2 inches overall length. I'm familiar with all of the amp parts houses you mentioned (I run an amplifier repair business). I would like to find someone who sells parts for Pak-a-Seats.
Thanks,
Bob M.

I don't know tht seat builders have a specific handle they use all the time. I suspect it varies by era and availability but:

Check with the seat builders here. Steeler's Choice, Gruene, etc.

FWIW, my Steeler's Choice handle is 8 1/2 long and 6 1/2 hole to hole.

I have a similar black strap handle on a cabinet I'm not using that measures 8 1/2 long and 7 1/4 hole to hole.

Hi Jerry,
Thanks for the additional info. I'll make sure I add the hole-to-hole measurement as well as the overall length measurement so I can get the right thing.

My Pak-a-Seat was made by Jack Heern of Murphysboro, Illinois and I did get a few extra parts from him over the years. He is no longer in business (he has either passed or retired) and I know he sold his stock of parts to someone in the steel community. If I can find out who has got those parts, just maybe he's got a rubber handle to sell.

I know I can add a longer Fender type handle to my seat or cut down a longer one to my specs but I'd like to try and track down the real item, if possible. I'd prefer to not be drilling new holes into my seat.

Thanks,
Bob M.

Hi All,
Thanks for responding. A forumite got a hold of me and had the exact handle I needed so I'm all set now.
