Landis picks are Sterling Silver. Very nice and you can’t sling them off your fingers. Hoffmeyer picks are nickel-silver, and they fit first time, every time. Both brands are the best on the market in my opinion. Expensive, but worth it.

What do you think? I can't seem to get used to the metal thumb pick.

Been using Landis Sterling Silver finger picks for a couple of years. I LOVE them. I still use Blue Herco's for thumb picks. No problem with the Landis thumb
picks... just a little bright sounding to me.

I've used "Star"-picks for 4 years now and they stay in shape like no others and never feel clumsy. They are not exactly cheap.
I just recently bout a full set of Landis too. And yes, I've never bought picks for that amount, but they seem hand made and the engravements are very attractive and they have awesome tone.
But if a good ol' NickelSilver Dunlop Pick fits your paws... then more expensive won't get you closer to sounding like BE either.

| I use Dunlop and Nationals. Bought a set of Landis and need to wear them more to get the feel. What did Emmons use? I never see that discussed. |
