Well that's been stripped and refinished to a natural blonde, is why "The Professional" is not on the front of the cabinet which is what that model is.; it's born December 1973 and the green tent of the texture underneath was only done on all the sho-buds built during the first year of the green LDG, May 1973 to May 1974, so it's truly a rack&barrel tuning with the best sounding fingers sho-bud ever made with the aluminum tops made out of 6061 aluminum. The pedals are, like said, a more modern looking pedal, The Originals were wide waffles. Anyways very nice pedal steel right here, Damir.
Even though "PRO~II was already coming out at that time; Sho~Bud would always build a customer what mechanism they want; they were Truly a Custom Shop back in the Day) _________________ Ricky Davis

I'm so sorry Damir; I mis-typed, it is a "Sho~Bud The Professional" built December 1973.
I corrected my input of that above. Sorry bro; Racks always mean "The Professional".( I was obsessing over the "green tinted Texture", which is true what I wrote)

Yes; they named the new series when they were done with the Baldwin Endorsement(crossover mech): "The Professional" and even the Single necks were called "Single-10 Professional" but they didn't put a sticker on the singles; and the next series had Round Crossbars with Two-Hole pullers, and they then called it "PRO~II" on front.
So all Rack & Barrel mech. was "The Professional".

Thanks David if you have any more specific questions or wonderings about certain details of the history or around that time or that particular guitar I have all the answers. I keep them in my brain I learned them from all my mentors through the years; but they've all passed away except for Paul Franklin Sr ,,,he's still alive, bless his heart🙏🙏.

Beautiful Bud , the Rack a Barrel setup is Harry Jackson’s choice mechanism for Sho Bud steels!
All the pull rods are supported by each rack.
An if you want more pulls just add a brass barrel. |
