I play through one all the time. I love it. It has plenty of power and sounds great. I have had more compliments on how good the amp sounds than with any others I have owned. I used Travis Toys settings and tweeted them until I found the sound I like. Light weight to. |

Happy with mine for home, jams, and gigs in small venues. It's also a decent recording preamp. Very happy with the purchase but it hasn't replaced the Webb for most stage use, different tools for different tasks. |

It used to be my leading amp for gigs, whether for stage mixes or reinforced sound. Then, I moved to a SuperBlock US to control the TT's tone and reverb. I now use the SuperBlock as a preamp for the Tonemaster FR-12. However, I would not sell TT. The only time I thought about using it for an unfriendly backline I just brought the SuperBlock instead. |

Jon, interested in the Fender FR12 usage. Are you using the stock speaker? Should have plenty of power for the stage. |

Larry, the speaker in the FR-12, is integral to the overall neutral sound. It has its own tweeter. You have to provide it with a preamp. The Quilter SuperBlock has an amplifier selection, speaker emulation, reverb, and effects loop. It has dials and no menus, so dialing your tone is easy.
The FR-12 has some tone controls, but I mostly leave them neutral. It has more than enough power. I use a Hilton volume pedal.
I have not miked the FR-12 it has its own line out. |

Jon thanks. I am aware of the functionality of both pieces of equipment but I questioned the Fender speaker as to its ability to carry the steel. It seems to be a decent quality product from the reviews and videos. Love to see and hear one in action. Hopefully someone will post some sound clips. |
