I have been getting a lot of requests from people to share the Trap Truly Chord Charts. A while back a security update from Google for my cloud storage apparently changed the sharing procedures on these - I thought I'd changed them back, but meanwhile, I've found a volunteer to make them available to any and all - Mike D at Steel Guitars Ohio now has them available on his website. Go to this address:
https://steelguitarsohio.com/stuff
There you will find Trap Truly's chart for C6 chords, and also his directions to understand the charts (labeled "Charts How-To". Also, there is the conversion of the charts to B6 for Universal players (apologies for the person who made the conversions - I don't remember who did it to credit your efforts). They would need the "Charts How-To" file also. And last, the Buddy Emmons Q and A compiled from an earlier version of this forum.
Thanks Mike for offering to host these files! _________________ Bringing steel guitar to the bukid of Negros Oriental! |

Can someone please explain what is meant by the F and G knee levers in the chart? I am not familiar with this naming convention for the C6 levers.
Thanks,
Joe |

re: knee levers nomenclature
Emmons' Basic c6 instruction names the F lever as the one that drops the 3rd string C to B
and the G lever raises the Cs on strings 3 and 7 to C#
edited to add/correct: the Trap Truly directions refer to the G lever as raising the 4th string a half step- which seems to check out at a glance _________________ Justice Pro-Lite and The Judge, GFI Expo D-10, Fender Twin Reverb |
