Apart from the nightmare of driving through Atlanta (there are no quick options, regardless of the time of day!), my brief 'holiday' was a great success.
Junior Mercer - a good friend and a fine player - was kind enough to put me up and, in addition, Scott Murray made the drive from Asheville to Sevierville. It was quite a gathering of personnel and of guitars.
I persuaded Junior to part with his JCH (8+9); a gorgeous midnight blue. Much comparing of set-ups was done and I, for one, thoroughly enjoyed myself.
A quick visit to` the Emmons Store was a must and Kelcey was a fine host.
