Topic: Must-visit Steel Guitar spots in Nashville? |

Hello!
My band is touring in June and we have a day off scheduled in Nashville. Being from Denver, I've only been to Nashville once, and it was for a bachelor party. All the other guys I was with were utterly uninterested in Nashville's history, music, guitar, etc-- they were just there to drink. We spent pretty much all weekend on Broadway. Had a fun time, saw all the old honky-tonks, but not what I would be doing if I called the shots. I did wake up early one morning and took an Uber through Music Row and over to check out the Vanderbilt ballfields, but that was the only sightseeing I really did.
As a Chet lover, I plan to see the Ryman. I don't really have much interest in the "new" location of the Grand Ole Opry.
What other MUST-SEE places are there for Steelers in Nashville? Is there any Sho-Bud history I can check out? Any museums that I can't miss? I appreciate any feedback! |

As far as Sho-bud, the Roberts Western World bar on Broadway was the Sho-bud shop in the 60s and early 70s. There's a lot of random pictures and stuff from the old days scattered around if you look, especially upstairs by the back door. Maybe try to go early when it's not too busy. It's also most locals favorite bar for old-school country. It's across the alley from the Ryman. |

| I always visit the Hall of Fame when I am there and never get tired of it (even the permanent stuff that I have seen a number of times I don't get tired of). |

| I’d definitely go to the Opry no matter what to see Tommy White. Honky Tonk Tuesday at the American Legion Post 82 on Gallatin Road in East Nashville is fun too. Also, come out to Time Jumpers on a Monday night at 3rd and Lindsley. |
