Happened on a T8 Custom. ‘53 but I have to pull a tuner pan to verify that. Its not a refin but the once-blonde finish is almost brown from nicotine. It’s all there except for the knobs and the decal in front.

I can find replacement knobs. Anybody have a decal for the front or a source for one? Thanks.

There are a ton of sellers on etsy.com that make decals. Just find someone who has right artwork and I'm sure they can make what you need in whatever size and color is correct for the instrument and year. Here's one: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1572534667/fender-lap-steel-1955-waterslide-decal

The decal on my 50's Stringmaster is approx. 4 and 1/8" from tip to tip of the lettering. The spagetti letters are gold with a black border and it doesn't have the "Fullerton, CA" address that the vendor Ian referenced has on his decal. You might see if he can make one like that. I believe the 50's Customs and Stringmasters used the same decal of that description.

I don't know if this is useful, but...

This is a 1954 Stringmaster D-8

Give us a link, if you're able. This question comes up a couple times a year.
