Plays like a dream and sounds absolutely phenomenal. It was Mike D's gigging axe until I bought it as a backup and never stopped playing it because it sounds so yummy. Upgrades on my watch include left knees on C6, a full-sized Gibson LP-style pickup switch, switched two-stage tone control, and cross-shaft center support bushings that firmed up the action nicely. Tapped for splits on E9 strings 2,5,6,9,&10. Copedant is full Emmons on both necks with E9 E's on the left knee, as shown in the chart below. Bellcranks are in place to add Franklin pulls on E9 to P4's C6 pulls, but I have not installed rods, easy enough to do if desired. I'm selling my stage axe to make room for a pair of excellent Zums and hoping I don't regret it later on this summer.

Priced to sell at $3500 plus the ride. Comes with a hardshell case and leg bag, both in very good condition.

This is a fully loaded professional guitar at a working musician's price, and ohhh those pickups! I am loathe to ship it but more than willing to spend a day or so driving to deliver it in person, talk to me...

AND...if you come pick it up in the Hudson River Valley I'll throw in the bracket-mounted ShoBud VP with a lightly used Dunlop 500k pot, shown in the first photo.

Edited to post the correct and legible copedant. Thanks for looking 😎

Wow, this was a great guitar when I had it, and that was before Dave did the upgrades on it.

I wouldn't hesitate on this guitar, the women really dig it at shows as well... must be the color...

Nice axe, one thing I like about it is the pedal rods connect on the outside of the pedals - it has that last axle hole at the far left end of the backplate which gives you a slightly wider left leg position than the ones that don't (for some reason a lot of his d-10's are like that.)

I think it's a soft market based upon supply vs demand and its tough for an individual member to complete for exposure on the forum when 21% of the free listings on the page one (52), are coveted by self promoting for profit member businesses with multiple guitars per listing.

Money is tight for sure, Paul, but someone is looking for a good axe every day and if they buy a steel from a player they are pretty much guaranteed to get an instrument that has had plenty of attention and is ready to go, as opposed to whatever condition a flipper got it in for less than it is now selling for. This Fessy and my '93 Zum currently on page 7 here - https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=393307 - are both top flight guitars at a player's price, not only is there no middle man markup but they are fully setup gigging instruments ready to play.

That's the same color Purple Fessy that Robert Randolph plays.
