I have used Cobra Coil for over 20 years, always got them from Steel Guitar Nashville even after the new owners moved to Texas, but looks like they're gone now. I tried D'Addario, nice strings but I'm set up E9 on my 66 bolt-on P/P for 012 015 011 014 018 022 026 030 034 038. These are also the gauges my new Resound will come with. The D'Addario set has first at 013, fifth at 017 and 6th at 020. I could always get my gauges in a set from SGN. Off the rack, not so much. Any advice?

Cobra Coil strings are actually GHS
That info came to me directly from the list of customers who bought strings with custom names.
The wound strings are called super steel and were stainless steel. I tested them to make sure.
The plain strings are not stainless.
I have a pretty good inventory of them in the old cobra coil packaging if you
Want to buy some. I’ll sell them at the old prices too. Send me a pm or email |

Just goes to show that strings are all about marketing. Only a few manufacturers. |

Thanks for thr offer, Bo! I think I'll just move on from Cobra Coil and try SIT. They're readily available and come packaged in my gauges without having to break up the package or create a custom order. And my New Emmons, when it's built, will also have the same gauge..they probably use SIT, although I didn't ask. Anyway, thanks again for the offer. |
