On Conway Twitty's versions, it was the VERY Great John Hughey, who also came up with the steel parts.
I had the privilege of sitting in front of him one eevening at The Station Inn.
Willing to chat, even when he was setting up.
A wonderful man and psg player.

I know this is an old post but I just have to tank Ricky again for all those tabs from years ago. I got my first real side man job because of nailing this song during my try-out. It would have taken me 6 months to learn this if it wasn't for Ricky's tab on the Rebel & Ricky site.
You mean so much to a bunch of us out here Ricky. |

Oh you're mighty welcome Randy; I loved doing all that tab work many years ago; wish I had time these days to take it back up; but other paths have taken over.

Ricky-hi dude. Does your tab have the bridge? It starts with a F#m and comes right before the middle steel solo. Am I missing something? Ron _________________ Emmons SKH Le Grande, '73 Fender P/J bass, Tick tack bass, Regal high strung, USA Nashville 112. |

Yes Ron that's what my tab is up there, the turnaround section right there where it says "tab", is a big box, that's the turnaround and then the other one right underneath the next word "tab", is the long big box, the only other solo section that ends the song it's all there is.
