I have been seeking out blues instruction and just found a couple of courses at Homespun on 6 string lap steel in a couple of tunings. They are by Bob Brozman (RIP) at Homespun. So far I'm working on a cool Open D tune that I am loving. I remember Bob being featured in some guitar magazines years ago and checked out some live clips featuring him playing and singing with a dobro. The course I'm on right now has him playing a
a Wiesenborn(SP). I am using a basic lapsteel but it works for what I'm trying to do. |

Duane Allman usually used open D for slide. Many of the early Allman Bros. numbers are definitely bluesy. His stuff transfers from Spanish to Hawaiian style quite nicely. |

I have several of Troy Brenningmeyers courses and have enjoyed learning from them, in both Dobro Open G and Open D lap steel. Thanks for all of the suggestions. Also, I am a fan of Duane Allman as well and having recently gotten into bottleneck slide I'm exploring that further. |

I had Bob Brozman videos but threw them out, I could not watch them after learning of the reports of child molestation which led to his suicide. _________________ Duesenberg Fairytale

Jeff Highland, I didn't know that about Bob Brozman. In fact I didn't know anything about him at all. |
