I was lucky enough last night to catch the David Ramirez band at Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, NC. David is writing some great songs and the band was playing them beautifully! Of special note to forumites would be the playing of Simon Page, who was tearing it up on both "underarm guitar" and pedal steel, getting sweet tones out of both instruments. On pedal steel, Page is much more than an "A-B masher"; he comes up with some creative lines and parts that truly enhance the songs. I haven't seen him mentioned much in here, but I greatly enjoyed his playing. _________________ Lots of stringy things, many of them slidey. |

Thanks for the review. Just stumbled across David Ramirez a couple months ago and I'm excited that he's playing in Berlin next month. I hope he has his band with him. _________________ '78 Sho-Bud Pro III Custom |

Hey Simon,
My wife, daughter and nephew saw you play with Aaron McDonnell on Friday night at the Whitehorse.
Bob Hoffnar identified you for me, my wife sent some videos of you playing for me and it sounded great.
We are bid fans of Aaron and now you as well! _________________ Regards, Craig
