Haven't seen this model before, anyone have any idea of manufacturer, or could it be homemade? That headstock seems like a lot of trouble to go to if it is homemade. Recognise the pickup? I'm intrigued as to what this, any guidance is much appreciated

Looks like a very well made home build.
Pickup looks like a truetone, those are highly regarded and I don’t believe they are made any longer! |

She sure looks well thought out and well put together, the fret markers, the nice knobs/bridge, and thats before you get to the head |

I'm a proud owner of a Sonny guitar... that doesn't look like his work... and would be way far afield in UK. _________________ New FB Page: Lap Steel Licks And Stuff: https://www.facebook.com/groups/195394851800329 |

It looks similar, but not exactly like Sonnie's. Nut is not the same and there is no Schobel. _________________ Currently own, 6 Groner-tone lap steels, one 1953 Alamo Lap steel, Roland Cube, Fender Champion 40 |

It seems that daylight through the window has affected the focus, under exposing the details. Its like looking into the sun. _________________ Don't go in the water after lunch. You'll get a cramp and drown. - Mother. |

I’d venture that the light coming through the window here is interacting with some grime on the lens.
On photos taken with phones, thats often the culprit. Always good to give a quick wipe before taking pics |

Yes, keyless guitars are not for the faint of heart... I've had established players with keyed steelguitars pay me to string up their guitars. I have a friend the has a Sierra S12 keyless, and it's been down for almost a year because he is unable to string it up properly. The benefits I believe are seen with the smaller size of gust and the sustain in the guitar seems better.... my opinion. String tension, per note, seems tighter as well.
