Here is a mildly customized Gibson BR-9 with the gloss ivory-painted body. Purchased as stripped-out husk with fretboard, nut, & bridge. Has a barely perceptible twist in headstock (not uncommon with this model) that does not affect its playability whatsoever. There is a custom tortoise control plate in lieu of the cumbersome Gibson molded bridge/pickup cover (fingerrest). New Gotoh strip tuners. New Sentell P-90-style pickup with cream top bobbin measures 7.24K. New pots, tone cap, jack, & jackplate. Original ivory Gibson 481 knobs unique to most BR-9s. Fully shielded and quiet as a church mouse. Wired like a '50s Les Paul Junior:
22.5" scale. Weighs 4 lbs, 7.6 oz. No case. Currently set up, strung, and tuned to D6 (a whole-step above standard C6).
Like a modern Custom Shop "Relic." Essentially a brand new instrument masquerading as vintage.
$525.00 plus $50.00 shipping lower 48 only.

Thanks, Mike!
BR-9s don't seem to garner much interest here. The other one I had listed a while back that had similar upgrades didn't get a bite when I had it listed on the Forum, but sold in a matter of days after I listed it on Reverb. The guy who bought it seems tickled to death with it. |

Last chance to purchase here. Will list on Reverb.com on Leap Day (Feb 29) at a higher price. |
