Picture file Late 40’s or early 50’s Alamo Futurama steel guitar. The pickups have been replaced, every thing else appears to be original. The case is rough but functional. Currently C6 on back with E13 on front neck. 25 inch scale. $600 or best offer plus shipping.

Updated with lower price.

Bump! I still have this old Alamo guitar. Will entertain offers and will forward a forum donation. It sounds great! I just need to move it onto some other player. Thanks

Hi Tim- I purchased this guitar from Terry Wood. He had the current pickups wound and installed by a guy that used to make the pickups for BMI guitars. I can’t remember his name? I really like the sound of them. I have a 10 string console and just don’t need it any longer. Thanks for the inquiry. If you need more info, let me know. RP

Sorry about that - once I reread your original ad I realized you gave the scale length.
Maybe next time I'll read carefully, then ask questions. Thank you, sir.

Gene Turner is the guy who wound the pickups. He is one of the most knowledgeable people on pickups that I have ever known. The Steel Guitar Model was call a Futurama Double Eight. It was built around 1947 to 1949. It's a Great Vintage Steel Guitar. My brother had it for about thirty years and I had it for over ten years. I'm primarily a Pedal Steel Guitar player. I play 12 and 14 stringers. If you are looking for a Non-Pedal Classic Steel Guitar you would really like this Steel Guitar. Hope this helps y'all. Terry Wood
