I just tried my New Williams through a new Deluxe Reverb Tone Master i got recently off the Bay. the problem im hearing on this amp isnt the headroom of a 22watt Class AB amp, It sound like Ghost Notes from leak filtering in power section. either that or cone cry from the Neo Mag Jensen.
Is this common or do i just have a bit of a lemmon.
I can Figure it out on my bench but was wondering if other Steel Players have the same issue. Im using a Allimitone PSG Pick up on the Williams.
Thanks.
Mike

Hi Mike,

Interesting.

I played thru a new Nashville 112 that had a "very Subtle" high pitched oscillation that could not be equalized out of the signal.
Installed a new Franklin 12" speaker in the amp for comparison and no change resulted.

I suspected the culprit may have been an amplifier component being out of spec or of poor quality, may be at fault causing the anomaly.

So I am subscribing to your post.

Mike,

Have you tried any of the firmware updates for the amp yet? At some point my TM Deluxe started to sound less clean than it did when I first got it. The update fixed that for me. Good luck...
