So looking forward to your set, whatever it is you choose to do!
As for a request, perhaps rather ambitious on short notice, but I've always loved the melody and changes to what I assume is Ivan Lins' most recorded popular song "Love Dance": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQFV51UwyD0 -- can only imagine what you'd do with it .

I’m so pleased to be asked to play again, in spite of various offenses against steel guitar and musical taste…
I can’t wait to see you all - I love this show, and I’ll be playing some guitar as usual for various players.
Thanks, SWSGA, for having me play! _________________ Christopher Woitach

Me too. Talking to another player yesterday, it seems a common theme is that about now is when we start saying “why did I sign up for this!”
Maybe the hardest part is deciding what to play. _________________ Bill Cunningham

So true Bill.
BTW, I'm playing with my band" Steel Kickin' " right after Mr Fessendens #2 slot on Friday. I got some tunes I've never heard at steel shows. Fun! Fun! Fun! Ron _________________ Emmons SKH Le Grande, '73 Fender P/J bass, Tick tack bass, Regal high strung, USA Nashville 112. |

Does anyone have any advice or information about RV parking at the upcoming show? Actually my RV is more a tour bus not a motorhome. I guess the Hilton is under new management so that a question Troy could not answer. |

Bill or Dave-thanks for the edit
Gary, I don't know about over night stays but the parking lot is quite large. _________________ Emmons SKH Le Grande, '73 Fender P/J bass, Tick tack bass, Regal high strung, USA Nashville 112. |

Gary, Troy and some board members have a meeting with the hotel staff Thursday. I'll ask them to check on parking for your bus. |

|

Gary Thorsen,
The SWSGA board met with the hotel yesterday (Friday). The hotel representative said there would be no problem parking an RV in the back of the parking lot on the west side.
If you have further questions, I would recommend you talk to the hotel at 800-833-5555.

What a fantastic show! I defy you to find another with this much talent and heart. The most good music for your dollar. Thanks to SWSGA!
* Chuck Back and Skip Edwards on "Desperado" - beautiful
* Those two boys also showed their barrelhouse rock 'n' roll chops sitting in with Four Horses cajun band -- some serious wake-up goodtime music there - Richard Comeaux is quite a pedal player with a great band of brothers
* Once Upon a Time in the West -- haunting tune with eBow from Frank Carter (and Andrea Whitt did it too!)
* Dean Parks - what precision, thrilled to see him play pedal, with wah wah!
* Slim Helpern (harmonica) and Doug Livingston gettin' jazzy, wonderful stuff
* Doug Livingston playing Bach, jazz and keyboards
* Jonathon Candler killed it, authentic steeling there, the kid's a natural
* David Wright (w/ Rebecca singing) -- classic Texas with no attitude!
* Jay Dee Maness and Skip Edwards, "Forever Loving You", huge drama
* Andrea Whitt playing Sleepwalk
* Some great jazz songs "Coming Home Baby", "Mercy, Mercy", "Girl from Emphysema", "This Masquerade", etc etc _________________ Guacamole Mafia - acoustic harmony duo
