Hello everyone,

First off forgive my lack of knowledge hoping someone can help steer me in the right direction!

I’m looking to find a replacement humbucker pickup for my Sho Bud 6139 for improved lower noise for studio applications. Mine appears to be an original single coil with a coil tap that provides a full or thin sound depending on how you flip it.

I bought a George L E-66 but the screw holes don’t line up so I assume a wider vs narrow spacing issue. I heard Lawrence 710s are great but also look like the holes wouldn’t line up (2 narrow one side, one on the other)

Any recommendations/ones up for sale please let me know!

Thank you
Alex

The new "Wilde 710" pickup Becky Lawrence(Bill's Widow)makes is so good; I put one in my LDG(second LDG ever made) and haven't looked back. Yes the narrow mount fits all shobud's; you just have to widen the front two screw holes and back single hole. and there is a Coil Tap wire; if you have switch; but if you don't want to use that red wire; just tape up the end so no wire is exposed and stick it out of the way> here ya go>

Thank you so much Ricky! Awesome info and I’ll def look into that pickup, I do have the coil tap and switch option on my instrument - to clarify it would be compatible with that/most other pickups available?

Also still if anyone else wants to chime in I’m open to ideas!
