Does anybody have a VIDEO copy of the Austin City Limits show that featured the Nashville Superpickers? (Tom T. Hall was on the other portion.)

(Buddy Emmons, Phil Baugh, Russ Hicks, Johnny Gimble, Pig Robbins, Henry Stryzlecki, Buddy Harmon.)

NOT the album or the CD. I have those. I’m looking for the video.

Contact me either thru here or on Facebook.

Trying to keep Buddy’s memory and playing alive…

Cool, Randy!

Beings you posted a video, you must have transfer capabilities. Could I possibly get a high resolution copy. I realize it’s from a television broadcast from the 70’s, so clarity is always a bit blurry. Did you have a stereo feed? They’re originally stereo, but not many people had stereo machines then.

Individual tunes are great, too!

You can contact me thru the forum or messenger on FB. OR email me ernie at buddyemmons.com.

Russ played with Charlie McCoy in Barefoot Jerry. So, I’d guess they brought him along because of the arrangement of Rollin’ In My Sweet Baby’s Arms. Russ and Buddy both played steel on Orange Blossom Special. The rest of the time Russ played rhythm guitar.

Randy, could you pop out Phil Baugh playing Shadow Of Your Smile?

That’s Sweet Dreams. Phil has a ride, but it’s Pig’s tune. They were all so good…

Shadow is fantastic! I look forward to seeing it again…

Thanks, Randy!

Funny to hear Buddy laugh in the background- I assume it’s because he’s tickled by Phil’s artistry.

thanks again Randy! what a joy to finally see.

interesting how the record differs from what aired. Johnny Gimble's Bob Wills medley didn't make the record, and I guess things like Killer Joe and Mansion on the Hill didn't make the air. they could have easily done a full hour!

so glad they included Phil Baugh's flawless rendition of Shadow of Your Smile, he really brought the house down with that and his solo on Sweet Dreams. such a unique and tremendous player.

Russ Hicks really shines too, especially considering who he was sitting next to!

of the 8 Superpickers, now only Charlie McCoy remains.
God bless them all
