I've bought a lot of great parts from Mr. King. Great to deal with, airline quality packing and great deals. Highly recommend!
A note to those building steels from parts which I do all the time is Carter parts sit lower to the fretboard than other steels including Bud Carter's own MCI. The parts can be mismatched and still work but like if you have a Carter keyhead with an MCI changer the strings will be going downhill quite a bit but that's how all other stringed instruments are built anyhow. Steel guitars are the only instrument I know that the strings are parallel to the body. Carter guitars have a low profile. |
