Had it delivered three weeks ago. I should have the electric in this week. Wish me luck.

That's a good looking setup. Hope you'll share some music with us. I'm just down the valley from you. Was up that way last night to the Natural Tunnel. Had intended to go to the Hob Nob, but it was too late and ended up at McDonalds in Duffield.

Digging the trench for the electric. At 72 I wasn't sure I still had it in me. Had to chop out a large root with the mall. Where the two pipes cross the root goes straight down. I went at that for a while and gave up. I will cut the pipes back and add 45 degree elbows and hook around a dog leg right and avoid it. Now that I have it laid out I have to go deeper.

The Hob Nob has pretty good food.
Here is some original music if interested.

Great idea. I'd add a ham radio setup and a home theater to it! |

Dont know how far you're having to dig that ditch. Have you thought about renting a ditch digger? I rented one a couple years ago and it didn't cost much. Looks like your studio is coming right along.
What recording setup are you using?

I don't know if you visited my youtube channel but most of that was recorded with a Yamaha 02R mixer connected to an Alesis HD24 hard disc recorder. I don't use computers. I didn't have to dig far, maybe 20 feet. Digging is easy here except for that big root! I also need the exercise. _________________ A FATE WORSE THAN LIFE |

The home theater is in my basement. I don't do ham radio but it always sounded like fun. _________________ A FATE WORSE THAN LIFE |

Looks great ! Enjoy !
I would add a recliner, a TV , a small fridge , a coffee pot and an outside camera so you can see if anyone is searching for you !
Oh-- and an OUT TO LUNCH sign for the door !

Very nice, Jerry! I'm sure you're putting it to good use.
You're long past that point by now, but I've found that the best way (for me) to deal with those tree roots is to dig out the dirt, then take the chain saw with an old chain and bar, or ones I don't mind getting dirt into, and just slice the thing. If the root splits and goes down, cut as close to the "T" as possible and either bend it over to cut, or make diagonal cuts to trim it down. Never easy, never fun but persistence will get it.
Putting this out there for the next guy who decides to follow your lead. it's impressive how those guys who deliver the sheds can scoot them anywhere you want! _________________ Many play better than I do. Nobody has more fun. |
