It's 5 5/8ths inches long.
It has no threading.
It has the 45 degree bend, but with an indentation either side rather than the Emmons style groove.
I have had a variety of guitars over the years but have only recently been attempting my own teaching.
Can anyone ID this rod, please?

Wow!
I've never had one of those, so how has it found its way into my 'bits drawer'? (That's not a serious question, by the way. ) _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, Quilter TT-12 & TT-15, B-bender Teles and Martins - and, at last, a Gibson Super 400!

Looks like a neutron combobulator linkage from a Neptunian XHSR209845 flying saucer. 👽🛸
Sorry Roger, I'll put my straight jacket back on and go to my rubber room. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Now that you mention it, Richard, the previous owners of this condo had one of those Saucers.
You've explained it. _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, Quilter TT-12 & TT-15, B-bender Teles and Martins - and, at last, a Gibson Super 400!

Hard to tell what it's from, though it could be a reversing rod from an old MSA or other brand. The notches could be from wear, or they could have been put there to hold a retainer, but the bend has a "home-made" look about it. |
