Late 1930s Rickenbacher B6 lap steel in perfect working order and very good cosmetic condition. Paypal’d and Shipped to the Lower 48 States via insured UPS Ground for $2,600.
Entirely original with lots of good features: 1.5” horseshoe, volume and tone controls, string through body, etc. Currently strung with D’Addario chrome flat wounds.
Comes with what I believe to be the original case with a decent amount of wear and tear, and a new handle.
Serial number reads: C1418
Patent Number 1881229
I've got limited posts and feedback on the Steel Guitar Forum, but I have a good amount of positive feedback Reverb and eBay (under username "merlinger" for both sites).
Some pics below, but just let me know if you need any additional photos or have any additional questions. I'm always happy to talk about these older instruments.

Yes, when those Rickenbacker black Steel Guitar's laptop have a stamp that says, "Pat Pend", it was built in late 1937, or before.
Because the patent was given to Adolf Rickehbacher on that date. That tells us that's a Pre War II guitar. And they have the 1.5" wide magnets.
Also, the strings go through the bakelite; rather than an extended steel plate to the right end.
Why I am telling you this? Because Jerry Byrd told many of us; that these Guitars have the better sound. "Don't buy if it has the patent on the magnet plate".
Thus, this one IS one of those. And it HAS that sound, that NO other SG ever had. AMEN!
Anyway, may Jesus bless you and yours always,

When even the case is that clean, you have to presume that guitar has had a pretty sheltered life! Beautiful.

It could be that he's celebrating the holidays with his friends and family and not reading the forum. Give him a few days to get a response, then if there's no response we'll close this. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

Happy new year everyone.
And apologies for the long awkward silence. I wish it was due to holiday festivities, but I accidentally locked myself out of the forum for a minute.
I think the steel is sold pending a phone call tomorrow with the first potential buyer and receipt of payment. I'll post an update tomorrow with the status and availability of the steel.
Apologies again for all the hubbub, and thanks again for all the interest in the B6 --it really is a great sounding, all original, and exceptionally clean example.
Best,
Michael
P.S.
So the long story on my lockout . . . I wasn't receiving email notifications from the forum when members responded to my for sale post or sent me a PM. Not wanting to miss a message over the holiday, I changed the email address associated with my forum account thinking it might fix the issue, but then I didn't receive the confirmation email from the forum to confirm my email change. Which resulted in my not being able to get back into my forum account. Thankfully, the good folks at the forum came to the rescue this morning and I'm able to log back into the forum.
P.P.S.
And just to confirm, I'm a real person with that has historically bought and sold (way, way) too many instruments . . . here is my Reverb page with lots of positive feedback and a listing for a nice Gibson Eh-185 amp (that is pictured on the same fish rug in a photo or two of the B6) . . .
https://reverb.com/shop/michaels-gear-garage-784
and some more feedback from my "merlinger" account on eBay . . .
