Anybody out there know of anybody making acoustic Weissenborn-style Hawaiian guitars with more than 6 strings? Thanks!

Jack Stepick in NJ made me a custom 7 string. His work is good as are his prices.

Since I’ve only played and owned 6 stringed weisses… what is your string tunings? Extra string, lower tone?

If you were asking me, probably would be better addressed in a private message. Anyway, I’ve tried a few different things: an extended E(EG#BEG#BE) G6(GBDEGBD). Currently using a standard G tuning with a low D.

Play any tuning you want on a Weissenborn, even C6, if you get yourself an Emerald Solace Weissenborn. Carbon fiber, strong like bull.
