Does anyone know of a good pickup repair shop for pickups off of a Fender 2 neck 8 string non pedal steel guitar?

At one time I had the name of one but can't find it now. I think he might have been in North Carolina but not sure.

The tape around the wiring has hardened, dropped and touches the strings.

Thanks

George

I sent one of my Stringmaster pickups to Nick Fryer. When I resinstalled it I could not hear any difference with the originals. Maybe just a tiny bit clearer and louder but not enough to matter when switching necks. I highly recommend Nick. He's doing the traps on my 1951 Custom. He's a steel player himself and he knows these old Fender pickups inside out.

Thanks for the reference fellows. I will see if I can get my old Fender back up and running.

I have used Jerry Sentell for most of my pickup needs. Fast return, excellent quality work and fairly priced.

I was just at Nick's house today. He's building new humbuckers now in addition to his single coils. Gonna try one in my S12. Nick is a great guy doing great work!

Ditto! Jerry just rewound a 7 string pickup for me and he has made a bunch of Stringmaster Mark 1 pickups as well.

I have also used Tom Brantley:
