During my years in Omaha, I visited Boys Town and vividly remember the famous statue of the two boys with the inscription, "He Ain't Heavy, Father. He's My Brother." Of course, the Hollies' hit song of the same name was probably inspired by the statue's sentiment. Hope you enjoy my instrumental version of the song, with its message of lending a helping hand.
Happy Holidays,
Chuck

Fantastic! Thanks for the music and story, Chuck. Did you play the sax as well as the steel? |

Very nice - I just played a gig with steel and tenor sax. Glad to know another steel/sax member is here! PS - for bar gigs, I'm playing a 60's King 615, setup is a Runyon #7 Quantum, #2 Plasticover. This mouthpiece and sax get along superbly. |

Thanks, James and Joe. I always liked the Hollies' version, especially this time of the year.
James, small world-I have an old King Super 20 and use a Berg Larsen mouthpiece. Funny to talk sax gear on the Steel Guitar Forum.
Happy Holidays,

Awesome Chuck as usual, you have always had a great ear for songs to be played on the steel. I look forward to hearing them and let you know that your work does not go on dear ears!

Thanks, Steve and Craig. Glad you guys like my arrangement of the old tune.
Craig, I sure miss the friendship and music at the PSGA shows. I spent many hours talking and listening to some of the great players of the day.
