Hi!
I’m fixing back up a Richenbacker DW16 and one of the tuners is slipping over the gear when I tried to string it up the first time.
Is replacing the tuner the best repair option or is something else?

A slipping tuner is generally a sign that the gears are worn. There's no way to put that material back once it wears away. You can try swapping parts from another tuner but that's not easy on Klusons.

Given that this is a restoration job anyway, I'd just replace the tuner.
