I saw this guitar at Johnie's shop today! Cleanest MCI that I've ever seen. You won't find another one in this good of shape. Beautiful guitar!!

I have had the privilege of visiting with Johnie and sue king several times. They are absolutely amazing folks. Johnie has a good selection of guitars and from the looks he has added another gem to collection. One very beautiful MCI.

I had the privilege to play this steel a few weeks back at Johnie's place. That MCI is a beauty to play. It's like butter!

I knew the one time owner of this guitar and it has very little playing time on it. It was kept in his music room and never played out of his house. The pedal action is very smooth and positive. The C6 neck sounds really sounds good with these Silver 705 pickups.
If you are an MCI fan this guitar is as close to new as you will find. I also know the first owner bought this guitar the year MCI gave away a guitar in St. Louis so you can date the guitar somewhere in that era if anyone can remember what year that was. Good luck with the sale John.

Johnie, Do you still have that BMI that is sitting in the back of the one pic you posted? If you do is it a U-12 or Ext E-9? How is it set up?

Thanks

I can't believe no one has snatched up this MSA. It was aD10 when I owned it , but the C6 neck was unorganized to say the least. Johnie did a great conversion. This guitar is rock solid....essentially zero cabinet drop, great tone, easy to play , and you could probably roll it down a flight of stairs ( not recommended) ,and it would still be in tune.Gorgeous lacquer , in very good condition for it's age. The MSA Classic SS guitars from this era are some of the best MSAs ever made...an engineering marvel. A great guitar for not a lot of $.

I think part of the issue is that Johnny has decided not to ship Steel guitars anymore. Of course that is his prerogative, However if he said tomorrow that he would ship guitars again, and ship to Canada i would buy his MCI in a heartbeat Very Happy She sure is a beauty as well. He owns some really nice guitars from the pictures I have seen. Merry Christmas
Thanks
Wayne

What a beautiful Silvertone. That's an exceptionally nice example, made in early 1959.

Wish I could get that 12-string MSA... That requires extra money which I don't have. Sure is pretty though!
