When and where were Performance brand guitars made?

Performance steel guitars were the late Jerry Brightman's work and made in Ohio I believe. Great reputation. Jerry was a super nice guy, great steel player, and very innovative with design. Jerry passed away in 2015.

Here's a video Walter Stettner made of Jerry tearing it up with Canadian guitar picker Steve Piticco and the Curtis Brothers at St Louis in 2005.
