Hello W.C.
There are things called "Stand Offs" if I remember right.
They are used on circuit boards and other electronic parts.
Usually nylon in round or hexagon shapes with a hole in the center.
You can find them in various sizes and only need to tap the threads into them.
The trick is to find them in the exact size you need. My best guess is an electronics supplier. If not them you may be abled to find them at a plastic supply?
Here is a link to some on Amazon, Not the size you need:

https://www.amazon.com/Small-Parts-100804HFN-Threaded-Standoff/dp/B07K38GV45/ref=sr_1_21?crid=39C1RHH5RGZ0&keywords=Nylon+Stand+Offs+1%263%2F4%22&qid=1695784078&sprefix=nylon+stand+offs+1%263%2F4+%2Caps%2C344&sr=8-21

Hope this helps?

There is no reason to close a thread. Other people might benefit from the information and I request you reinstate the subject with a meaningful title. Eg Xxxxx (solved)
