My 07 Deuce with full SE 103cu in kit and many extras. Lovely bike but I had to give up riding due to severe back problems.

I have had two bikes , Johnny.
One was a 85 Honda Goldwing 1200, that I bought from my sister and her husband, after my mother passed in 2003. I paid 3K for it, it had 85,000 miles on it. I paid $800.00 to replace the clutch, The spline went out and left me on the side of the road. My wife her sister, and her sister's husband came out to pick me up. I did not have money for a tow, so my wife's brother in law had a GREAT idea. Hooking up a tow strap to my bike and pull me. We did ok. Until we got to a red light. When the light turned green, the bike started wobbling and came out from under me, I was going one way and the bike was going the other. I was airborne for about 10 feet. When I hit the ground, I landed within a foot of the right front tire of my wife's vehicle. I ended up with four broken ribs, a punctured lung. By the way tow of the ribs were broken two places.
About six months later I bought me another bike, it was a Yamaha V-Star Classic. It was black, with the windshield, and the leather like saddlebags. the only drawback was NO GAS GAUGE. Several times I would run out of gas in the same spot. I would have to call my wife to bring me a can of gas to GET ME HOME. Ride safe brother. BTW If you are going to rid a HARLEY YOU GOT TO GET A TAT.

Sorry to be so naive, but when this thread caught my eye, I kinda thought it meant at the same time, without being clear what that would involve.

A bass trombone player I worked with went all over the country by motorcycle with his horn strapped to his back. I don't remember anything about the bike, but the trombone was a mess.

First Bavarian posted!

2011 F800GS. This pic from the first 24 hours I owned it. Lots of miles and lots of trips racked up on it these days!

Harleys, guitars & steel guitars are my 2 favorite things in the world. I spend an equal amount of time with my bike as my steel. I am on several Harley forums, too, as well as guitar forums.

Harleys, guitars, & pedal steel...I mean...what else IS there??

Teddy Carr, the former steel player with the country band Ricochet, rode a Harley Davidson motorcycle for a few years. Before he left Ricochet, the Harley Davidson logo was seen on his Franklin steel
