Hello! Just wanted to share some pics of my first steel guitar. It’s a real mess of an instrument, I believe it started as a 1976 Pro I, but it’s had some modifications for sure. It plays well and sounds good, however, and I’m excited to own a sho bud. Cheers.

Twelve finger picks and one thumb pick? You’ll learn. Laughing

Just kidding, of course. Beauty of a ‘Bud you’ve got there!
Good luck, you can do this. We’re all here to help.

That is one beautiful Sho-Bud for its age.

The 2 right knee levers do not look pure Sho-Bud, But whoever added them, Done some good work and use some good parts in the installation. The hex cross shaft on RKR caught my eye instantly.

If it tunes up and plays good, You can be serious on your steel guitar journey.
Good Luck on your journey, Happy Steelin.

Lucky you, she's beautiful. My 1st steel was a blonde D10 Bud in the same color. Old rack and barrel system and a switching lever to use some of the same knees on both necks. Great sounding old steel. I'm sure you will love yours. Enjoy the ride.

Nice nice... lifetime keeper when restored to former glory. I remember threads about capable PSG techs within driving distance of you but you'll have to search... Lots of people to ask

protip we had the same stair covers growing up... very slippery when doing heavy hauling
