Interesting.
To add to this.....(you can search for them).......
Most people here probably know that there is a documentary on Youtube for Muscle Shoals.
And..........
A couple of years ago there were a ton of documentary type videos put on Youtube for Sunset Sound.
The Sunset videos from memory are all rock oriented, so some folks here may not be interested.
In the Sunset series, two of the main artists profiled/featured dissected are Van Halen and Prince. |

Also add the 2021 documentary about George Martin's now-abandoned AIR Studio in Montserrat, "Under the Volcano," available from various streaming services. Site of many famous recordings including Dire Straits "Money for Nothing." _________________ Long-time guitar player, now wrestling with lap steel. |

And of course Caribou Ranch studios in Colorado. One of the first residential studio’s built in the late ‘60’s on a ranch in Colorado where Chicago, Joe Walsh, Elton John, John Lennon and many more made some iconic records until it burned in 1985. I got to do several sessions there including a record with Michael Martin Murphey. Fantastic place _________________ John Macy
