I think you may need to be more specific, as there are different types of rods and generally the 7th string F# has no changes on an E9 copedant and thus requires none at all. Photos perhaps?

At least what brand of guitar. Pics of how it attaches to the bell crank would help too.

But, I have to disagree with Dave on the green highlighted part. I am sure there are hundreds, if not thousands, that raise the 7th string to G or G#. I have raised both of my F# strings to G on LKV since probably 1972 or 1973. I even had a 2nd LKL for a while on my Carter and a Williams that raised the 7th string to G#. Sold the Williams and took the 2nd LKL off the Carter as I pretty much never used the F# to G# change on the 7th string.
