I use .015....I have no reason other than, that is the way the package from SIT and GHS came. _________________ Currently own, 6 Groner-tone lap steels, one 1953 Alamo Lap steel, Roland Cube, Fender Champion 40 |

It's fat enough to get good tone ... yet not too stiff which is associated with inharmonicity |

I went to .016, it seems to give better sustain and harmonics. _________________ Don't go in the water after lunch. You'll get a cramp and drown. - Mother. |
