There is a discussion here: https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=231349. I can't vouch for the veracity of the info.

I worked at the factory from about June through December 1979. At that time, the factory was on N. 2nd Street in Nashville.

I think most of the 1970s Sho-Buds were made there.

There were layoffs in December 1979, and I was one of those let go. The night I was laid off, I remember sitting in my bathtub wondering how I was going to pay the rent and buy groceries.

A few days later, Harry Jackson hired me to resume my former job as janitor at the Sho-Bud store on Lower Broad. I'll never forget his kindness.

If I remember correctly, Sho-Buds continued to be made at the N. 2nd Street factory until sometime in the early 80s, when operations and a few employees moved to Conway, Arkansas.

So I think both your steels were made at N 2nd Street.

You were right, my Pro ll was built there too
W. C. Edgar,
Guitar model 6155 Brown, serial # 15441 built 1/24/80. Don't know who built it but it was tuned by G.E. (probably George Edwards) checked by Yasu Kamiya. Shipped 2/4/80.

Unfortunately, Duane was not there when I was.

George Edwards and Yasu Kamiya did the final checks and setups. They did their work with great care, because they both loved Sho-Bud pedal steels.
