Kinda basic question:
Is the Earth Drive set up to run on a 9v battery if needed, or must it be powered by an external 9v power source via the power jack?

Yes, it can run on a 9V battery.

Yes. It's a low power pedal and runs for a good length of time on a fresh 9v battery.

Yes Brad, the best battery life I have every got out of a 9V pedal !!! usually I don't use batteries at all but the ED is exceptional in it's low power use :-}
