Interesting descriptions and condensed history of steel guitar written by a PSG novice/non-player. Probably nothing new to many on here, but I learned a few things.

Fairly well researched and pretty accurate article, particularly for the people who know nothing about pedal steel. It’s a comprehensive and efficient overview.

When my drummer saw the undercarriage of a doubleneck for the first time, he called it "steampunk".
