Hey everybody, it's been a while since I posted much on here and I find Myself in need of some insight, My '83 Mullen D-10's leg adjustment collars have begun slipping SEVERELY, to the point that You hit the right knees and suddenly You're an inch shorter on that corner Rolling Eyes .

So that brings Me to My question, is anyone still making the Chrome over Alloy leg replacements? I figure if it's to the point of needing them I might as well try and knock a few pounds off of this slab of birdseye maple,

I appreciate the assistance in advance,
Thank You.

Clean the clutches with alcohol or acetone. If wax gets on the small internal leg section, or on the fiber ring in the clutch, Can cause major problems.

Also check the fiber ring in the clutch, That collapses against the inter leg. Check the slot in the ring, If it is closed, Cut the slot a little wider so the ring can collapse tight against the internal leg section.

Last ditch effort. Remove rubber feet from back legs, Run a 1/2 inch dowel rod the length of the back legs, Cut off even with end of inter leg section and replace the rubber feet. This will still allow you to lengthen a leg so you can level the guitar on bad floor.

Not fun having a leg collapse when playing the guitar.

Good Luck with the problem, Happy Steelin.

I also have been looking for alloy leg sets, but lately even the standard chrome over steel legs seem to be unavailable.
