First time I saw Bruce play was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. The little burg of College Park, MD. at place called O'Brian's Pit BBQ with a band called Fireside. I was just getting started and I remember how clean, precise and really good Bruce sounded that evening. A few years later I ran into Bruce at another venue outside of Baltimore, Painter's Mill in Owings Mills, Md. Bruce was touring with Ricky then. Got to hear both shows ... it was fantastic! Of course the whole band was great, but I was listening way more to what Bruce was doing. Smile

John

College Park, those were the days and the year before I left for Nashville.

Thanks for the kind words!

Vivid memories of having my 77 Pro lll and Fender Twin in the living room of my little apartment across from the small local airport. Listening to and trying to copy what Bruce was playing Heartbroke and HWY 40 Blues, and being excited anytime I got any part of what I'd heard Bruce just play. Bruce was a HUGE inspiration while with Ricky and again with Pam. Bruce has always been an Iconic player. Ya done good Sir!!!

Bruce, you weren't the only one subjected to a kicked ass. Charleton would cover up my right hand with a magazine. He said the music is in your left hand....I also recall having my right arm tied to my body so it wouldn't stick out like a bird rest....ha
