Hey, guys!

I have a question about volume pedals. I haven't really used one with a steel before, just guitar.

So, last night I messed around a bit with one I had lying around, an Ernie Ball VP Jr., passive volume pedal. It sounded OK, but not great.

My questions is: What volume pedals are ideal for playing steel with and why?

Also: Any tips for using a volume pedal with a non-pedal steel would be appreciated. Thanks!
