The common Extended E9th tuning, Strings 1 through 10 standard E9th, With string 11 G#, String 12 E. Many connect the 11th string to the B pedal cross rod, And raise with strings 3-6. That gives you an octave lower E-G#-B combination.
I bought a Steel with 7 pedals and 4 knee levers, Set up Extended E9th.
I did not study the setup. I changed the guitar to 12 Universal Tuning. This was before COCID I was playing 1 or 2 gigs every weekend and needed a stand by guitar set up like my gig guitar. |

What Bobby said. Raise string 11 to A on the B pedal. Raise string 12 to F with the F lever. DON'T lower string 12 to D# with the E lever, you get a nice low end Emaj7 that way. I do lower string 9 D > C# with E lever, adding a 9th to an E lever B6 chord. _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION
