I am just curious if anyone is using this copedent on an 8 string guitar? I am guessing that the Bud Isaacs copedent is more common (but still not "common" Very Happy ). Anyway, I think that this is an interesting variant. I did see Chris Scruggs mention it at one point in a post.

I have Jackson Slide king lap steel with wrist levers that I have tuned the same basic way. Currently, I have it tuned:
G#
E
B to C# on lever A
G# to A on lever B
F#
E
C#
A

I am not really happy with the bottom strings at the moment, I am leaning towards the Ralph Mooney style D and C# on the bottom. I have spent enough time learning bar slants that I can get a good number of the missing changes.
I really like it the set up with the G# on top and the split levers as it allows me to play Hank Williams as Don Helms intended. The thing about playing a unique instrument is that it forces you to really learn where things are.
