Anyone have experience with buying these used and/or have any idea on their durability? If you’ve owned one for, say 8-10 years, howd it hold up?

I don't believe Mr. Hudson has made those for 8-10 years.

Hey folks. I had Jimmie Hudson build me 8 string in 2020.
I traded him a 70's Emmons S10 3 on the floor and 1 knee and a Carter Starter for the Hudson. He also made a great hardshell Case for it. The Hudson had my copedent...with 4 on the floor and 4 knees. It was a modified E9th and two right knees right for that tuning lowered the E to Eb...the other knee lowered the right knee left to a Bb. The two floors were the typical A & B pedals.
The other 2 floor and the other two knees changed the complete tuning to an open C6th, to play some Jerry Byrd stuff or a couple of Speedy West tunes. Kind of like having a double neck pedal steel. I also had Jimmie add a volume control and make one of the 4 legs adjustable since his legs are fixed.
I say Hudson are a good "price per pound"...they ain't Jacksons or Franklin...but for closet players like me...they make you have a lot of fun. Mechanisms are good and well made.

I am 81 years old and have been "tinkering" with Country Music since I was 13 years old.
See you next time,
Tom
