Hello all.
Having been around the block a few times, my old Matchbox has come out of retirement. It had always worked perfectly, but I found a couple of wires unattached- possibly came adrift when putting fresh batteries in.
Although pretty handy with a soldering iron, I’ve not been able to figure out where the wires go, and as Goodrich intended that no one would ever copy the circuit and build their own, no diagram was ever officially available, so I am hoping that one of you boffins out there might be able to help.
I have taken the mini on/off switch out to make it easier to reach with the iron,
but no help if I don’t know where they go.
The yellow hanging wire is connected to the output jack (possible earth ?)
Not obvious to me where the red one goes.
Thanks in hope.

I may have the same unit. At least the controls are on top and bottom. I will open it up and get a picture to compare. Stay tuned. |

I'm doing a batt change on one right now. This one has the metal 16mm pots, but looks similar otherwiwse.
If you need further comparison to Larry's or otherwise, let me know if I can help you.
Here's a shot of the internals anyway.

Thanks a lot gents. Having a non standard on/ off switch fitted
doesn't help in terms of extra cables. I'll give it another go. |
