Ricky, that pickup is the modular (slide-in) design used on the newer MSA guitars. The two small (spring-loaded) brass buttons on the bottom are the contacts, and they mate with contacts on the pickup mounting tray in the guitar when the pickup slides in.

Ricky,

Sorry I didn't get back to you last night. I don't know ohms of the pick-up.

Donny,

Thanks for chiming in and answering Ricky's question about the modular pickup and installation in the newer MSA.

I could have been more clear as to what it was in the ad.

Apologies to you both.

Thanks Donny; wow what a cool idea to bypass the wiring "so to speak"; but I guess you have to have this set up to receive this style pickup mounting; and does ONLY new MSA have that??
No Problem Scott; good job bro, all info up now. But I knew Jerry Wallace very well; we worked together on stuff; and he always put a piece of tape on bottom of Pickup with the OHMS....but most likely, knowing Jerry; unless custom ordered; he did a regular winding of 18,000 ohms(my guess.)
