| It is with great sadness to announce that Risga President Jim Rice passed away on April 26th after having cancer of the pancreas. His wake is Friday, May 5th,4-7 pm at Badger Funeral Home in Littleton, Mass. His funeral is on May 6th at St. Michael`s Church in Bedford Mass., at 11 am. We have lost a really nice gentleman. |

Oh no. Jim kept RISGA going for years and years. I think he loved the organization as much as he loved the steel guitar. My condolences to Jake and his family.

This news seemed to come on suddenly, unexpectedly.
It is very sad to lose such a steel guitar promoter, an organizer of our jamborees, and a guy who was rarely seen without a big smile on his face!
At the most recent meeting, Jim handed out some small jars of honey--I believe from his hives. |
