Hey there,
Does anyone have a hi-res scan (illustration, not a photo of a decal/badge) of the Rickenbacher Electro logo (30’s) they’d be willing to send me, or know where I might find one? Please PM me. Thanks! Pete |

Something like this? Are you looking for the decal type logo or the metal plate logo?

Thanks, Brad! I was looking for a high-res version of the Los Angeles Electro badge. Curious - did the manufacturing move to Santa Ana at some point? |

The Santa Ana logo must be post 1950 when the spelling changed to Rickenbac"k"er. |

Sometime after FC Hall purchased the company from Adolph Rickenbacker (circa 1953), Hall relocated Rickenbacker from Los Angeles to Santa Ana.
The history of electric string instrument manufacturing in SoCal is fascinating. A clear line of evolution and relationships can be drawn from the earliest days of National to Rickenbacker to Fender, Music Man, and Randall -- among others. These books by Richard Smith are excellent sources of information -- historical and otherwise. The pix alone are worth their purchase price:

Per the Smith Rickenbacker book:
In 1956, Hall constructed a new sales office, showroom, and warehouse at 2118 S Main St in Santa Ana. The Electro String factory remained at its original 6071 S Western Ave location in Los Angeles until moving into new facilities on Kilson Drive in Santa Ana in 1962. |
