sir Pete released a new song & video recently and can be seen/heard playing a 10-string dobro (!) which surprised me... I've never known him to dabble with the steel bar. the song is called Can't Outrun The Truth: https://youtu.be/M7nGSBBxdu0
I'd love to know why he went with 10 strings and how he's tuning it. maybe someone will ask him, or already has? _________________ 1965 Emmons S-10, 3x5 • Emmons LLIII D-10, 10x12 • JCH D-10, 10x12 • Beard MA-8 • Oahu Tonemaster |

I remember reading somewhere that he threw that Sho-Bud into the mud on the banks of the Thames in disgust . |

The Who Sell Out
That album has interludes of Talkbox steel in between songs. It seems that they had been recorded formerly as Radio jingles in the States. They sound like Pete Drake to me. _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |

Much was recorded by Alvino Rey at PAMS Studio in Dallas, TX circa 1959-1960.
